Thanks for the warning...

I love to watch the View. My favorite days are the 'hot topic' days. I love Elisabeth Hasselbeck. I cheered her on as she faced up to that bully Rosie O'Donnell. Darn her for being on maternity leave. I saw this little gem of info on MSN. Now we have to see Kate as a co-host on Sept 14 & 15.

I have said in the past that I am pretty much indifferent to her. I rarely watch 'Jon and Kate plus 8'. I don't know about her relationship with Jon. And I don't want to. I know that I think they are getting to the point of exploiting their kids in the name of their 'future'. But it's none of my business - it's their life, their choice. They will reap what they sow. I hope they are sowing more good than bad. So I am not really interested in seeing her for 2 hours chatting with the girls from the View. It will be Regis and Kelly those days for me.

The other co-hosts filling in for Elisabeth are supposed to be Meghan McCain (the senator's daughter), E.D. Hill (Fox News) and LaToya Jackson (can live without seeing her, too.) I may tune in for the first two.

Hi there, thanks for stopping by my blog, because I found yours and it's adorable.

I have to agree about Jon & Kate, I don't watch it and don't care. It's not that I don't care for the kids - there's just enough negative to go around and I'd rather focus on the positive. Though again, I do really feel for those children.

Monday, Monday...

Monday's are usually my favorite days. Everyone is back to work and school and I have the morning to gather my thoughts and eat a leisurely breakfast before starting my day. My friend, E, who I carpool with has her husband take the kids to school since he is off on Mondays. Today, however, has been a bit odd. We had a new dishwasher delivered this morning and my husband uninstalled the old one last night. This morning I wake up to a leak in one of the dishwasher hoses - thankfully just a slow leak but still an inconvenience. My husband had to come home and semi-install the new dishwasher to stop the leak. I have been washing the dishes in the wet bar sink instead of the kitchen sink since something is turned off there and the hubby said not to use it until the new dishwasher is totally installed. I am thankful to have a wet bar sink and not have to resort to washing the dishes in the bathroom - something I am sure we've all had to do at one time. I have some things in t...

organized Arranged in a systematic way, esp. on a large scale. Having one's affairs in order so as to deal with them efficiently. clean Free from dirt, marks, or stains. Although there is some overlap, being organized and being clean are not the same.  Your home can be clean but not organized and vice versa.  Which is most important? It can be argued that they are equally important but it's probably more of a case of personal opinion.  I am in the clean is more important camp.  No matter how much is sitting on my island (one of my hot spots), my kitchen sink and counters are clean.  My bathrooms are cleaned weekly, as are my floors.  But my junk drawer may be filled with a little more than usual. Of course, if your home is too disorganized it is likely impossible for your home to be clean (we've all seen one too many episodes of 'Hoarders' to know this is true). Lunch Box Granola...

LM's teacher gave her class an extra credit assignment for math last week.  It was a cooking assignment which helps the kids with fractions.  They had two recipe choices and she picked the lunch box granola.   I have been wanting to make granola for a while so I was happy she chose this one.   She made a list of everything I would need to buy and I headed to the store while she was at school on Friday.   $16 later , I had the missing ingredients.  I was a bit shocked that some of these items cost so much.  I felt like we just bought a grade! All the ingredients ready to go. Recipe Fresh out of the oven. The finished product. LM did everything herself except put the cookie sheet in the oven and take it out. She emailed a picture of it to the teacher and turned in a paragraph about it on Monday.  It turned out delicious and I know I'll be making it again, using up the ingredients I bought.  I don't think I'll ever buy granola again ...
