Spring Break...

My daughter starts spring break on Friday afternoon. No school all next week. We are headed to Utah to see my sister for a few days. Most people are headed to warmer climates but we will see the hot, hot weather before you know it. So we are hoping for some snow. I am sure lots of you think we're crazy and I am sure I would feel the same way if we had been snowed in all winter.

While I am gone I will likely not be blogging much, if at all. I will have my laptop with me but I am guessing I won't be using it too much. At least I hope not. I guess if it snows TOO much I might use it more.

This morning I was reading my Rachael Ray magazine before Little Miss went to school and noticed a recipe for Nachos. I thought that would be fun to have for dinner one night (not the specific recipe I was looking at, just regular old nachos). So I mentioned this to Little Miss to see if she would like them - I told her we could put ground beef or chicken on them with cheese, onions, tomatoes & sour cream. She replies, 'I want them like we have at school- just chips & cheese.' For those of you without school age kids that dine in the cafeteria that would be chips & cheese whiz. Yum. On second thought maybe we'll pass on the 'nachos'...

Gotta love the school lunches.. My smart alec 6th grader calls it "government food" and thankfully will only eat what his mom packs in a brown paper bag. Now hes got his Kindergartener bro doing the same thing. I give the schools a great big ginormous HA HA to all the healthy meals. Gimme a break. open box, throw in microwave, just is not what I deem healthy, not like what Im making is the epitome of health, but....
okay enought about that.
Thanks for the comment on the state of affairs of our dear old USA, I totally agree, and dont worry about offending anyone! I have had it up to my eyeballs in the "new regieme"
Have an awesome trip to the snow!
