Let's Dance...

I have never been into watching "Dancing with the stars" in the past but I saw the list of 'contestants' for the upcoming season and I think I will be watching. Donny Osmond is going to be on so I don't think I can resist! The new season premieres September 21st.

Today is usually my scrapbooking day but I think I am going to just stop by and say hi to the girls so I have time to get some running around done before LM gets out of school. There's much to do here and I have not been motivated AT ALL to do much for the past few weeks. I think I am turning a corner so I want to take advantage of that while I am motivated.

A while back I bought a new vacuum. Hate it, just hate it. Plus I broke a little piece off and it works but is broken, if you know what I mean. The canister falls off if I hold it just the right way. Not fun. At all. So I am heading to Lowes in search of something new. I am also off to Michaels for some canvas for a painting project which I hope to unveil in a few short days. And as much as I hate to say it, I may have to go to Walmart. I will be out that way and I need to buy some gum for my husband. He has chewed tobacco forever. I don't nag too much (I have the dentist do that for me) but I would be thrilled if he quit. I think hitting 40 made him realize that he is mortal. So he is finally trying to quit. He had his last 'dip' this afternoon. Bubble gum will be his replacement for now so I want to get him a big container and I think Walmart is the best place for that (no Costco or Sams here). I sure hope this works for him. I would be soooo thrilled.

I've never been one to keep a journal or diary (as we called it back in the 70's).  I had a diary in grade school but wrote in it only sporadically.  It was one of those cute little ones with a lock and key that were so popular back in the day. I had some riveting entries like this one: Today I went to school.  I came home from school and Debbie came over after school.  I watched the Brady Bunch and  The Partridge Family at night. Easter Deals, Ideas & Fun Stuff - 4/11/17

~I just finished reading 'The One & Only' by Emily Giffin .  I've read all her books except her newest one ('First Comes Love') and I think 'The One & Only' is my favorite so far. I highly recommend it. I am excited to dig into 'First Comes Love' soon. ~Easter is Sunday and I know most of us are knee deep in preparation. *One of our family traditions is making these sticky buns for Easter morning.  I usually only make them on Christmas and Easter as they are pretty rich and I want them to be a treat.  Kind of how my Grandma made ebelskiver's for us when we were little - we wanted them everyday but she made them on rare occasion and everyone of her grandchildren remembers how special they were.
